Lesson Plans WE 12/4

I hope everyone had a restful and bountiful Thanksgiving.  We are so thankful to have your students on our team.  We have another busy week on Team 5-3.

Math - We are starting Topic 6 Multiplication of Decimals, which many students find very simple, especially if they know their multiplication facts.  Homework is as follows:
Monday - P & R 6.1
Tuesday - P & R 6.2
Wednesday - P & R 6.5
Thursday - P & R 6.6
Friday - Shopping Order - if not finished in class

Science - We are wrapping up Unit 4 - Lesson 5 this week (How Do Animals Grow & Reproduce).  We will begin our wholey notes on Tuesday, review notes on Wednesday, quiz on Lesson 5 on Thursday (includes vocabulary - vertebrate, invertebrate, complete metamorphosis, incomplete metamorphosis, and life cycle).

In addition, friendly letters are due on Friday, December 4th.  Students have been using class time to research an animal that lives in North America, using report form graphic organizer and reporting back to King Ferdinand & Queen Isabella.  To help break the project down, students should use the following time frame for unfinished classwork:

Monday & Tuesday - Research finished, topic paragraph completed.
Wednesday - Second and concluding paragraph finished.
Thursday - Final copy finished.

A copy of the assignment is attached below.  Students should have a copy of this in their red folder with rubric attached.  As always, any questions, please feel free to call.
