In addition, friendly letters are due on Friday, December 4th.  Students have been using class time to research an animal that lives in North America, using report form graphic organizer and reporting back to King Ferdinand & Queen Isabella.  To help break the project down, students should use the following time frame for unfinished classwork:

Monday & Tuesday - Research finished, topic paragraph completed.
Wednesday - Second and concluding paragraph finished.
Thursday - Final copy finished.

A copy of the assignment is attached below.  Students should have a copy of this in their red folder with rubric attached.  As always, any questions, please feel free to call.

Blast off with Books/Scholastic Order

Book orders are going home with students today which are due on December 4th.  You may either send a paper order in with a check made payable to "Scholastic" or order online using class code: J6QV9.  All orders help our class get free books for our students.

At conferences, many parents were looking for ways to entice their child to read more.  Choosing a new book may be a good way to help your child find the joy of reading and will help them for the Blast off with Books field trip fundraiser.

For any parents interested in ordering for presents, please let me know and I can arrange to get the books to you without your child knowing.  Thanks for your continued support.
