Happy New Year!! It is great to see so many rested students after a long holiday break. I'm looking forward to spending the next 6 months with your children. We have a busy week planned. Please see below:
Math - On Monday, we completed a review of Topics 1-5 on Kahoot. This "game" was really helpful to assess students' strengths and areas for growth. Look for more information over the next few weeks to help your child excel in math. We are currently introducing Topic 7 - Division of Decimals.
Homework is as follows:
Monday - Quick Check 6.5
Tuesday - Practice & Reteaching 7.1
Wednesday - Practice & Reteaching 7.2
Thursday - Practice & Reteaching 7.4 and any other work that has not been completed in class (Quick Check 7.1 & 7.2)
Science - We are continuing Unit 4 - How Living Things Grow and Reproduce. We are completing wholey notes for Lesson 3 and will have a quiz on Lesson 3 wholey notes and Lesson 1 & 3 vocabulary on Friday, January 9th. On Thursday, students will have the opportunity to dissect a flower to identify all parts of the flower.
