Math - On Monday, we finished all lessons in Topic 4 division with one digit divisors.  We will test on Wednesday.  Monday's homework includes Practice 4.7 and questions 1-7 on pages 114/115 (large sheet of paper).  Tuesday night students will finish questions 8-15 for homework.  In addition, we will do review in class on Tuesday.  If students are interested in extra credit (+5 pts), they can complete page 112-113 reteaching sets A through E.  No partial credit.  At the end of the week, we will start Topic 5 - Division with 2 digit divisors.  Also, we will review Topics 1-4 including place value, addition and subtraction of decimals, multiplication and division of multi digit numbers.

Parents have asked how they can assist their children in math.  Please help your child master the basic multiplication/division facts, it will make the multi step algorithms much easier if a students has mastery of facts.

Science - We are continuing the Engineering Design Process - Unit 2 this week.  We will be using the process this week in the lab to create a prototype and redesign.  In addition, we will start Lesson 3 reading and wholey notes.  Ask your child about the type of paintbrush cleaner they designed in class today.  I'm amazed by the creativity and ingenuity in this group of students.

As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions.
